Bubble Bobble Lost Cave "νέο" Bubble Bobble

Πρόκειται για ένα hack του Bubble Bobble που κυκλοφόρησε στις 11 Δεκεμβρίου για να τιμήσει την μνήμη του Fukio “MTJ” Mitsuji, που πέθανε αυτή την μέρα 4 χρόνια πρίν. Σήμερα το πήρα είδηση και είμαι σίγουρος ότι κάποιες ψυχές στο forum θα το τιμήσουν δεόντως!

Τα νέα features πολλά και ενδιαφέροντα:

- 100 new levels for the Bubble Bobble coin-op which replace the old ones.


- Almost every bonus points item has been replaced.


- A new progression for old secrets


- New gfx and encrypted messages in the secret rooms


- A brand new attract mode

Σίγουρα θα χαρείς ακόμα περισσότερο αν μάθεις ότι πολλά από τα νέα levels είναι "Nintendo".

If you ever played Bubble Bobble on a home or handheld console youʼll find them familiar: they are the best exclusive levels made for NES, Game Boy, Sega Master System and Game Boy Color versions of the game. Still, mastering them in the coin-op frame itʼs a brand new challenge!

Ένας σου λόγος έφτασε όμως, για να παρατήσω το φόρουμ στην τύχη του και να πέσω με τα μούτρα στο διάβασμα!

Ευελπιστώ ότι το Σάββατο που είναι η MAME μέρα μου, η αγαπητή Kambia θα έχει ήδη κάνει τις προαπαιτούμενες διεργασίες στην καμπίνα της, ώστε να απολαύσω το νέο υλικό!

Αν όχι, τότε την Κυριακή που είναι Free-day, θα ασχοληθώ δεόντως (αν και δε νομίζω ότι θα το τερματίσω όπως ο Big Bill! )

Fukio “MTJ” Mitsuji, the creator of Bubble Bobble, died five years ago, on December 11th 2008, at 48. We want to remember his genius with a new release of Bubble Bobble Lost Cave, exactly one year after the original release of our 100 level ROM hack.
Whatʼs new:

- Program optimization. The game should have much less slowdowns now (ie it should slow down only where the original Bubble Bobble slows down!)

- Bootleg support. The game can now run also on most bootleg “Bobble Bobble” PCBs (or on emulated bootleg clones, should you want to do it). Forget the crappy bootleg behavior: Lost Cave works on bootleg boards just like on the originals.

- Difficulty rebalancing. The game has been carefully rebalanced, based on one year of user feedback. It *should* now be possible to complete it with one credit. Greater contributors are even acknowledged in the end credits of the “Super” Mode!

Note: if you want to play the game with an emulator, all you really need is the bublcave.zip file. The additional bootleg files are necessary only if you want to convert a real Bobble Bobble / Super Bobble Bobble bootleg board into a Bubble Bobble Lost Cave one
