Θελω να παω με τον κολλητο μου να παιξω "Final fight" πειραζει;

Θελω να καπνισω 2 πακετα τσιγαρα παιζοντας "metal slug" πειραζει;

Θελω να κατεβασω 2 μπουκαλια μπυρα κυνηγωντας αναναδες με το δεινοσαυρακι του "Τrog" πειραζει;

Θελω να παιξω "street fighter" ακουγοντας Βασιλη Καρα πειραζει;

Μολις τα κανω ολα αυτα θελω να μπω στην καμπινα του "Daytona" και να ζαλιστω πειραζει;

Namco Bandai, Sega Closing Arcades All Over Japan

Hard times are falling on the arcade scene in Japan. Thanks to a combination of high oil prices - keeping families away from shopping malls - and the continual inroads of home console gaming, two of Japan's biggest gaming names have announced they're closing down huge numbers of their branded arcades. Namco Bandai have announced they're closing 50-60 of their Namcoland centres (around 20% of their total), news which comes not long after Sega also announced closures, planning to shutter around 100 of their own arcades
Namco Bandai blames Wii for arcade closures

Though the arcade scene in America has been dead for quite some time, Japan has still been a home to many popular arcades. At least, it has up until now. Arcade firm Namco Bandai has announced plans to close between 50 and 60 of its arcade locations across the country, citing the expanding home console market as a big part of the problem.

Specifically, company spokesman Yuji Machida blames the Nintendo Wii, stating that strong holiday sales for the console mean a lot of kids have spent their time at home playing,
and spent their money on more Wii software and hardware, such as the popular Wii Fit package.

Of course, home consoles certainly aren't the only cause. Machida also cites rising gas prices as a concern, as families become less willing to travel back and forth from shopping malls, where arcades are normally located. The 50-60 arcades closing account for one-fifth of Namco Bandai's arcades in Japan. A big loss, to be sure.

Απ: Aσχημα νεα για τα "arcades"

ήταν επόμενο. Αργά ή γρήγορα θα γινόταν. Το ευχάριστο ήταν ότι προήλθε από το wii και όχι από τη φριτέζα :)
