Forge Chapter 1: 1o μέρος του φιλόδοξου fanmade sequel του Loom

The release of "Forge: Loom Sequel", has been divided in three phases: the tech-demo, the Chapter.1 demo, and the full release.  


Chapter One has been released in December 2013, and so the following percentages refer to the Full Game progress. However, Chapter One is included in those percentages.

 


16 December 2013: the current percentages are just a rough estimate and they will be fine-tuned in the next couple of months; we will use the following weeks to reorganize all the existing assets and compile a detailed list of the necessary ones.

When will Forge be ready?

Progress on the game rests solely on the contributions of our team members and the interested public. We plan to release the fully playable demo of the entire chapter one during Spring 2013. After that we hope to find new, dedicated team members to work on the following release, which will be the complete game itself.

Attention: in order for the game to work properly, you need to install it inside a folder where you have write privileges. In case you don't have a clue of what I'm talking about, just install in the default directory, and it will work fine.

Eνδιαφέρον !!

Επίσης ενδιαφέρον θα είναι να δούμε πόσο θα καταφέρει να "περπατήσει" το project, ειδικά όταν "καραδοκεί" η εκδότρια εταιρία του αυθεντικού Loom (η οποία προφανώς δεν θα αισθάνεται και τόσο άνετα με την χρήση οποιουδήποτε περιεχόμενου απο τα παιχνίδια της, ακόμα και απλών ονομάτων).

Άκρως νοσταλγικά screen-shots!

Θυμίζουν στον καθένα μας, εκείνες τις εποχές...

Πρεπει να ειχα αναφερει και σε αλλο thread, οτι το Loom αποτελουσε για μενα ενα "Χριστουγεννιατικο" παιχνιδι. Αυτες τις μερες το Forge ειναι ενα καλο Χριστουγεννιατικο δωρο

Πρόκειται για ένα από τα καλύτερα, αν όχι το καλύτερο retro-sequel adventure game που έχω παίξει. Τρομερά επαγγελματική δουλειά, θα μπορούσε να είχε κυκλοφορήσει ακριβώς έτσι το 1991. Τα κείμενα είναι επιπέδου Brian Moriarty, το όλο feeling είναι πανομοιότυπο με αυτό του original και η διάρκειά του -αν αναλογιστούμε ότι πρόκειται μόλις για το πρώτο κεφάλαιο, αν και δεν έχει ανακοινωθεί πόσα θα ακολουθήσουν- άκρως ικανοποιητική.
