Yesterday Sega announced the 40-strong Mega Drive Ultimate Collection for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation3, and fans were ecstatic, until they saw screenshots of the title's HD smoothing in action. Yes it's hideous, but it's also completely optional. Martin Snelling of Sega UK confirmed with RPG Site that the hideous-looking smoothing filter can be shut off. Even better, all games will play in whatever aspect ratio your television supports.

"Iʼve had confirmation that the filter can indeed be switched off...And the games will display at whatever ratio your console is set at – 4:3 or 16:9. If playing in 16:9 the game will fit and not have black borders at the side."

It just keeps getting better and better, doesn't it? Yesterday I was "Oh look, another Sega compilation." Now I am leaning heavily towards "Gimme."

Παλαιοτερα ειχαν ακουστει και amstrad,commodore collections για το Wii νομιζω ,τι εγινε με αυτα βγηκαν,ακουστηκε τιποτα. :xm:

Αν έχει τις μη κομμένες εκδόσεις όλων των παιχνιδιών (βλ. streets of rage 2) κάτι γίνεται. Αλλιώς jpimport

Ασ΄το καλύτερα. Απλά χρησιμοποιεί ένα από αυτά τα φίλτρα που χρησιμοποιούν οι emulators και κάνει τα παιχνίδια να δείχνουν χάλια. Παλιά παιχνίδια σε HD απλά δεν γίνεται.

Το φιλτρο που ειδα μου βρωμαει 2xSAI...

Δεν νομιζω (ή δεν θελω να πιστευω) οτι εννοουσαν αυτο οταν λενε για "converted to 720p"

Ναι το θυμάμαι. Τελικά δεν της πήρε "ages" της Sega για να βγάλει παρόμοια πατάτα με το CD32 (το Saturn).

Sonic Mega Collection PlusSonic Mega Collection Plus (ソニック メガコレクション プラス) is an update of Sonic Mega Collection for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox consoles. A PC version was also released in Europe and North America. This edition includes the addition of six Game Gear games, the two games that were included in the Japanese version of Sonic Mega Collection (The Ooze and Comix Zone), new artwork and movies, a new in-game menu, and a mid-game saving feature. It is, however, missing six Sonic Game Gear games that were included (along with the six included in this collection) in Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut, but they would later appear in Sonic Gems Collection. In addition, only the final Japanese revision of the original Sonic the Hedgehog is included. The PC version was released on March 9, 2007 in North America. The localization for this version of the game is the European Localization. The original packaging says CD-ROM, but it is instead a DVD-ROM; it will not play in a CD-ROM-only drive. The European packaging has this mistake as well. The PC version also uses the PAL-50 versions of the Mega Drive games instead of the NTSC-60 ones, causing slower gameplay on some titles.
