Eurogamer understands Microsoft plans to launch two very different versions of the next Xbox.The first is described as a "pared down machine" to be released as cheaply as possible. It is likened to a set-top box, and will act as a Kinect-themed gaming portal.The second is a "more fully-featured machine" with optical drive, hard disk and backwards compatibility. This would be aimed at hardcore gamers and released at a higher price-point. Kinect, Digital Foundry has heard, will be bundled with both SKUs.

Sources close to Xbox World magazine have revealed that Durangoʼs devkit features a “monster” 16-core IBM PowerPC CPU, a GPU comparable to AMDʼs Radeon HD 7000-series graphics cards, and a Blu-Ray optical drive.

Even if you had a 16-core processor in your gaming PC there are currently no games built to use it, but games for the next Xbox could put all sixteen cores to work on day one for a level of performance far in excess of current gaming PCs. Itʼs a ridiculous amount of power for a games machine – too much power, even. But remember, Kinect 2 could chew up four whole cores tracking multiple players right down to their fingertips, so itʼll need a lot of power.

Ετσι μπραβο να αρχισουν και σιγα σιγα στην microsoft να πουλανε παπα στο λαο.Εγω εχω πρωτος σε ολοκληρο τον κοσμο την αποκλειστικη πληροφορια οτι το νεο xbox δεν θα εχει 16πυρηνο επεξεργαστη αλλα θα εχει 32πυρηνο επεξεργαστη και θα κοστιζει μονο 200 ευρω.χαχαχαχαχαχαχαχαχαχαχα

Ετοιμάστε καλού κακού και ένα πυροσβεστήρα δίπλα.

Ήθελα να ήξερα ποιος θα έριχνε χρήμα για ανάπτυξη τέτοιου επεξεργαστή σήμερα. Ειδικά όαν σκέφτονται να βάλουν την 6670 σαν κάρτα γραφικών στο μηχάνημα (που είναι μια χαζομάρα και μισή σε σχέση με τις κάρτες που κυκλοφορούν σήμερα) που θα βγει σε δύο χρόνια και θα αποτελεί μεγαλύτερο ανέκδοτο ακόμα. Πάντα ενώ ξέρουμε ότι στα παιχνίδια η κάρτα γραφικών παίζει μεγαλύτερο ρόλο.

Μήπως έχουν κάνει ιδιαίτερα μαθήματα από κανένα έλληνα λαμόγιο "επιχειρηματία" στο pr;
