Δεν είναι ακριβώς remake, αλλά κινείται στο μοτίβο του εκπληκτικού Another World. Είναι ακόμα ημιτελές, σε φάση "demo" αλλά αξίζει:

About the game

Concurrence is a so called cinematic platform game. Unlike other platform games you will know (like „Super Mario Bros.“ or „Sonic the Hedgehog“), this game focuses on realisitic movements, puzzles and a dense atmosphere. If you have played games like ‚Prince of Persiaʽ, ‚Another Worldʽ or ‚Flashbackʽ you will know what awaits you. Many of parts of the game will require precise jumping and you might feel a little frustrated at the beginning. But donʽt despair, study the movements described in this manual and keep on practicing and you will find that it isnʽt so hard after all (you also have unlimited continues). This version was done for the april 2011 Monthly Adventure Game Studio Competition (MAGS) and does not feature the full game. Itʽs more of a demo. The finished version will follow sometime 2011. ptp88 composed a great soundtrack for the game.

Story

My blood was beating against my skull as the blazing sunlight and the piercing screams of the bird-like creatures give me a rough awakening from a dreamless sleep. I was wearing an astronaut suite, but my helmet was missing. The steaming pile of metal right next to me indicates that its some kind of vehicle and that it probably brought me here. Where was I?....Who was I? Who sent me here and for what reasons?

As looked to the sky, shielding my eyes from the bright sunlight, I suddenly realized that these questions had to wait. I had to get leave this place. Now. Time was running out for me. As I know today: In more than one sense....

Το Concurrence ειναι ενα cinematic platform ,ενα αλα Prince of Persia-Another World-Flashback- style 2D platformer με δημιουργο τον mode7 που φτιαχτηκε για να το υποβαλλει στο μηνιαιο AGS competition .
H υποθεση : Ειστε ενας αστροναυτης ,που εχει χασει την μνημη του, χαμενος σε ενα ξενο πλανητη ,με μονη του ελπιδα να παρει καποιες απαντησεις την διαθεση για εξερευνηση και την ευφυια του και την θεληση για να ξεπερασει τα οποια εμποδια...

Μεσα στο πακετο υπαρχει pdf με οδηγιες ,ενω το παρων δεν ειναι το πληρες παιχνιδι ,αλλα ενας demo(με καποια bugs προς το τελος).

Tο πληρες παιχνιδιου που αναμενεται να ειναι ετοιμο στα τελη του 2011.

Υ.Γ. Ειναι φτιαγμενο με την με την A.G.S. δηλαδη το Adventure Game Studio !!!!

Μια "μηχανη" που δεν ειναι φτιαγμενη για δημιουργια platformsκαι και δειχνει και τον δεικτη δυσκολιας του ολου εγχειρηματος .

Aλλα υπαρχει κατα καποιο τροπο και ενα 2ο επιπεδο σε ολο αυτο.

Θυμαστε καποιες δηλωσεις του Eric Chahi δημιουργου του Another World ,οταν ειχε παει να το παρουσιασει σε καποιο Developer????

Τους αρεσε μεν ,αλλα προκειμενου να εμπλακουν , ηθελαν να το ανσχεδιασει και να το μετατρεψει σε ... Αdventure δε ,ειδος που τοτε πουλουσε σαν ζεστο ψωμι.

Ευτυχως για τον ιδιο και για μας δεν ακολουθησε την προτροπη τους,

, αλλα κατα καποιο τροπο ,η ιστορια επαναλαμβανεται αναποδα βεβαια "ως φαρσα" ,που θα ελεγε κι ο Καμπουρακης .

 

[Other_Reality]

Ωραίο φαίνεται. Στην ουσία tribute στο Another World. Αυτό που σκέφτηκα είναι πώς μερικά παιχνίδια είναι πραγματικά αξεπέραστα, όσα χρόνια και άν περάσουν, και όση προσπάθεια και άν γίνει, βλέπε Alien Breed, Speedball, Turrican κλπ. Δείχνει πόσο ξεχωριστή εποχή υπήρξε για το gaming. Είναι πάντα ωραίο να βλέπουμε remakes αλλα μέχρι στιγμής, δέν έχω δεί κανένα που να με συγκίνησε όσο τα "originals".
