Hi together,

I just compiled latest version 6.6 of JavaCPC.

It's not a final release, so no official download.

Since Java version 1.6 update 14, JavaCPC has strange display problems.

Until I cannot fix them, I will not offer a new official release.

Here's my last release:

http://cpc-live.com/6.6.pre.rar

Sorry, no sources, readme and other docs.

Check docs from 6.5

Who wants to help me with the "setDoubleBuffered(true);" please contact for swapping sources.

Cheers,

Markus

Markus sorry for the offtopic. One question plz.

We are thinking of getting rid of the arcades we have on the page and substitute them with 10 CPC (free of copyright) games using your emulator.

We want to track the highscores depending on the forum usernames.

Is it possible for you to output the current score from some given games after "game over" so that we can get it and (with some sort of trick I do not know yet) keep it in a database table?

Why, you could put speccy games, slow them down, interpolate them and then offer screen colour overlays to enjoy them fully. Wouldn't THAT be something? :p

Hi Wally,

indeed, we are working on a small emulator, which will be able to store highscores in MySQL databases.

(Called JCPC)

The progress is:

- It can already write to database

TODO:

- Check for memory locations of the scores

- Embedding in a website

- Update this emulator with new CRTC / CPU emulation like JavaCPC & WebCPC have

- The emulator must be "un-cheatable" - So : special versions of the games with digital fingerprint

It will use XML-config files.

When it's going to be stable, I will inform you of course.

You can also have a look @ WebCPC (Another sister of JavaCPC which we are using in WIKI-forum via BBCode)

http://wiki.cpc-live.com/forum/index.php/board,9.0.html

It's also installed on Phenixinformatique games website:

http://www.phenixinformatique.com/CPCGAMES/index.php?page=jeux&emuweb=1

(316 games to play online... You must be logged in to play them)

BTW.: WebCPC is actually the only emulator which can show the demo "From Scratch" properly:

Java is mostly auto-updating. (But you can deny the updates)

For all of you who wants to get rid of the bug in last Java-JRE's:

- Uninstall Java (System settings - Software)

- Install last good Java JRE (I archived on my server)

http://cpc-live.com/jre-6u13-windows-i586-p.exe

Java JRE 1.6 update 13 for Windows 32bit

I already reported this bug to SUN. (But what if they planned this?)

I can override this "bug" but this will bring the next problem with it:

Does anyone know, how I can remove the top bar of this JInternalFrame? It looks ugly...

But with this, the emulator would be doubleBuffered...

Found my solution... (what a crap!!!)

Κώδικας:
((javax.swing.plaf.basic.BasicInternalFrameUI)
     intern.getUI()).setNorthPane(null);

After a long day full of hard work, I managed JavaCPC to get working better now.

The display should also be doublebuffered on new Java-versions, too.

(I had to do a really crap code for this)

Some other positive news:

The screenshot function now really captures, what is visible on screen!

So also scanlines, bilinear filtering or the monitor blend will be visible now.

Tomorrow I will do some final tests and then I can release 6.6 properly.

Please check the modified display routine here:
