Πέραν της πλάκας, η MS θέλει να κερδίσει τον πόλεμο στις κονσόλες με όποιο κόστος, οπότε εύλογο μου φαίνεται να κάνει έναν τέτοιο ελιγμό (έστω κι αν στηρίζει εν μέρει τον αντίπαλο). Το media format για τις ταινίες είναι IMHO, απο τα minor issues στον κονσολοπόλεμο που μαίνεται. Και στην τελική αν επικρατήσει το BD ολοκληρωτικά , τότε έτσι κι αλλιώς δεν θα έχει επιλογή...

Η MS ειχε δηλωσει οτι δεν δενει την κονσολα με καποιο φορματ.

Κυκλοφορησε ενα HDDVD addon δηλωνωντας εξ αρχης οτι αν το BlueRay υπερισχυσει θα κυκλοφορησει και BR addon ;)
 
Τα ελεγε ο Τelamonas τα εγραφα και εγω 10 μηνες πριν . :D

Group marketing manager Albert Penello said the decision would be up to "consumer choice; and if that's the way they vote, that's something we'll have to consider." Penello said that he didn't consider that Warner's decision to drop support for HD-DVD would have a "significant impact" on the console war. He also confirmed, in a way, that it was a "bummer." "We've heard it all: Microsoft only supports HD DVD, Microsoft wants the two formats to compete until it can step in with digital downloads to "save the day", but now we're hearing that Microsoft may consider supporting Blu-ray? We're sure they would do so begrudgingly, as it would mean their favored format falling flat on its face, but Microsoft says they're open to it.
Group Marketing Manager for the Xbox hardware said that "It should be consumer choice; and if that's the way they vote, that's something we'll have to consider" in regards to the 360 gathering up some Blu-ray support. They'll still defend HD DVD until its demise, should it occur, but at least they're starting to pay attention to the numbers. Numbers don't lie.

Φημες...

Οπως διαβαζα και τις προαλες σε ενα ενδιαφερον αρθρο(θα ποσταρω link μολις το εντοπισω) η MS φιλοδοξει να πατωσουν(ει) και τα 2 formats (γι αυτο εδωσε ενα χερακι στο HDDVD και την εχει πεσει ασχημα στο PS3)

Ο λογος? Δεν εχει να κερδισει loyalties απο δισκακια.

Προωθει υπογειως το digital distribution ωστε να κονομαει απο "ξενα" προιοντα που αυτη απλα θα διακινει μεσα απο τη online πλατφορμα της ΑΚΑ LIVE.

Αυτος ειναι και o βασικος λογος που κατασκευασε το Live...(και οχι να παιζω εγω με τον Keeper COD :D )
 
Νομίζω Wally αυτό το είχε υποστηρίξει και ο σκηνοθέτης Michael Bay πριν λίγο καιρό. Ότι δηλαδή στόχος της Microsoft δεν είναι να υπερισχύσει το HDDVD έναντι του BLU RAY αλλά να κερδίσει χρόνο και να κερδίσει τελικά τη μάχη με το digital distribution. Όπως και να έχει πάντως αυτή τη στιγμή (γιατί έχει αποδειχτεί ότι τα πράματα σε αυτό το πόλεμο αλλάζουν ξαφνικά) το BLU RAY μάλλον είναι πιο κοντά από ποτέ στην τελική επικράτηση οπότε η κίνηση της MS να υποστηρίξει τελικά το BLU RAY στο XBOX μοιάζει σωστή και λογική αν όχι αναπόφευκτη.

Ελα ρε,στεναχωρηθηκα τωρα,δηλαδη δεν θα πατωσει τελικα η Sony και το PS3 ε..;; :D :D
 
Δεν υπαρχει-υπηρχε περιπτωση να πατωσει το PS3 ,και το HD-DVD να κερδιζε-κερδισει( :rofl: ) το ps3 θα εχει τα παιχνιδια του.

Xχαχαχα δυο χρονια υπαρχει αυτο το θρεντ και ακομα η M$ κανει ανακοινωσεις για το BLURAY.

Βαλτε το ρημαδι να τελειωνουμε. :D

Once Again, Microsoft Explains Why It Won't Go Blu-ray

Blu-ray won the format war. One HD game console (the PS3) already uses the format. The other one (the Xbox 360) doesn't. Microsoft says it plans to keep it that way.We've heard this before. Microsoft isn't going Blu-ray. Still, Robbie Bach, president of Microsoft's Entertainment & Devices Division, lays out three reasons why the company isn't keen on the format:

Itʼs not a feature we get a ton of requests for. We really donʼt. When you ask people the list of things they want to see us spending time creating in Xbox, Blu-ray is way, way down on the list.

The second thing is, from a technical perspective, it doesnʼt help us in the core of what Xbox does, which is in gaming. We canʼt have publishers produce games on Blu-ray disc. Because then they wonʼt play on the 28 million Xboxes weʼve already shipped. So it doesnʼt help us in the core gaming space.

The third thing, and this maps to all three of those, is that it costs a lot of money. And so the scenario is, OK, let me get this straight: Iʼm going to add something to the product thatʼs going to raise the cost, which means the price goes up, consumers arenʼt asking for it, and by the way, my game developers canʼt use it.

If HD DVD had won the format war, would Microsoft be singing this song?

Τέσπα τώρα που πήρα PS3 σκασίλα μου εάν θα βγάλει η MS Blu Ray... ή μήπως να έδινα το PS3 για να πάρω το XBox 360 Blu Ray Add On??? :p :p :p :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
 
Για την ακρίβεια, το BD δεν κέρδισε ακριβώς...

Οταν ρώτησαν την lucas arts ποτε θα βγεί το star wars σε BD απάντησε " Γιατί να το βγάλουμε σε proprietary spinning format οταν μπορεί να βγεί σε μνήμη τοση οσο το νύχι του αντίχειρα στο 1/8 του κόστους?"

Το department της MS για το 360 εχει αποδειχτεί αρκετα έξυπνο για να μαθαίνει απο τα λάθη του (HD-dvd)
