Shown off to the press in the UK over the weekend, after being tested under the dummy name "Super Challenge" for the past few months, it'll run on Sega's new Europa-R board, run at 60FPS/720p, share much of the same assets as the recent Sega Rally Revo (nothing wrong with that) and comes with a car seat that's just downright classy. As a bonus, it's even got the desert track from the original Sega Rally. Exciting. It should be turning up in European arcades as you read this (having been developed by Sega's now-gone Racing Studio), with "the team hoping for international releases to follow".

DirectX10 Effects Possible On Consoles

If you've got the time and the resources, your console game can look pretty damn close to its DirectX10-enabled PC counterpart. This from Massive Entertainment's VP of Development Peter Sydow in an interview with Videogamers.com in which he discusses development of the PS3 and 360.""

Yeah, at this point we've managed to replicate some of the effects, but I don't know what features will make it into the final release. Nearly all of our DX10 features are possible to do on the consoles if you give it enough time and resources, so we'll keep on working on them and see what happens.

Mega Man 9 Coming To Downloadable Services!

Άλλος ένας ρετρό πολυαγαπημένος τίτλος στο Live και PSN! Μετά την βροχή τίτλων όπως τα Commando, 1942, Bionic Commando Rearmed, ήρθε και η ώρα του πολυαγαπημένου Mega Man να φορέσει τα καλά του και να γίνει HD (τουλάχιστον σύμφωνα με τα ακόλουθα)....

In an astonishing unofficial announcement, it appears that Mega Man 9 is coming - and it's coming to the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network!A rating has appeared on the Australian Classification website. One things can be determined from this rating - it certainly is a downloadable title. It was rated by Capcom and Australia's 'Red Ant Enterprises' - who have done all the previous ratings for Bionic Commando Rearmed, 1942, Commando 3, and also just today - Plunder! Games which are sold in stores are rated by Activision Australia, as they distribute them.

This almost certainly will come out on Xbox Live Arcade and the PSN, as every Capcom release has done so.

Mega Man 9 has been a long time coming. The original series was released on the Nintendo NES and lasted 6 seperate games. 7 was released on the Super Nintendo, and 8 on the PlayStation One. Since then, the series was moves onto the Mega Man X games (X not meaning '10'), Legends, ZX, Battle Network, and a whole slew of others. Some people also believed that the strange game 'Mega Man and Bass' was the equivelant of 9 - a game originally released incredibly late in the Super Nintendo cycle in Japan and later ported to the Gameboy Advance.

Will this be another title created by an American company like Backbone or Certain Affinity, or will it be Capcom Japan's first foray into the downloadable game market? God I hope we hear more before E3!

New Halo Game For E3 (Master Chief Not Included)

Citing both Sarcastic Gamer and their own "sources", CVG are claiming that a new Halo game will be unveiled at E3. This Halo game might be Peter Jackson's game, it might not be, but either way, they say it won't feature the Master Chief. Chew on that for a possibility while we dream of a point-and-click "Where In The World Is Master Chief?"
